UKRTRANSNAFTA HAS INCREASED OIL TRANSPORTATION BY 8%

since the beginning of the year


Over the 8 months of 2020, Ukraine oil pipeline monopoly Ukrtransnafta, part of Naftogaz Ukrainy holding company shipped more than 200,000b/d (10mn t) of crude, which is 8.3% more compared to the same period last year, the press service of the company stated.

In particular, the volume of oil transportation for Ukrainian refineries in January-August 2020 was 51,070 b/d (1.7mn t) (12.2% more than in the same period in 2019), and transit was 258,354 b/d (8.6mn t) (7.5% more compared to the same period last year).

The total volume of oil transportation in August 2020 decreased by 8% compared to August last year, to 353,226 b/d (1.5mn t). In particular, the oil transit via Ukraine pipeline systems decreased by 9.2%, to 306,129b/d (1.3mn t).



Also last month, the volume of crude shipments to Ukraine’s refineries decreased by 0.9% - to 53,000 b/d (225,000t). Of these, the company shipped 27,575b/d (117,100t) of Ukrainian crude to refineries, 10,125b/d (43,000t) – of Azeri crude and 15,400b/d (65,400t) of American blend WTI from the oil terminal in Odessa.
