On 21 February 2019, KazMunaiGaz’s 120,000b/d Pavlodar Oil Refinery held a seminar-conference “Latest advances in the field of equipment for the transportation of gases and liquids”, addressed primarily to mechanics and machinists involved in the oil and gas industry.

Modern approaches to production and its economic feasibility require an increase in the overhaul mileage of equipment, reduction to zero of its downtime, use of modern devices and means of monitoring the state of equipment, new methods of their maintenance, ensuring the reliability and safety of their operation.

The event, organized by the refinery, aimed to raise the awareness of specialists of the Pavlodar refinery (mechanics, compressor units and pumps operators), employees of partner and service organizations in this field, to demonstrate the advanced developments of domestic, Russian and European enterprises in the production and operation of pumping and compressor equipment.

At the same time, the event has become a valuable information resource for everyone interested in modern organization of technical maintenance and repairs, development and implementation of new highly reliable equipment, and use of new materials.

The conference has attracted more than 130 interested participants who gathered at the PNHZ: employees of PNHZ, the representatives of the equipment manufacturers and service companies, teachers of educational institutions of related technical specialties.

The speakers of the event were scientists, technical specialists - leading engineers and technologists, heads of suppliers and manufacturers of process equipment for the oil and gas industry.

When choosing speakers for the conference, the organizers focused on inviting those companies who have their own research and production and technical bases, know-how, patents, extensive geography of service centers, customers around the world and reliable partners, who have many years of successful activity, who own a wide network representative offices around the world.

Developers, manufacturers and suppliers of hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical systems and components from Kazakhstan (Uralsk, Almaty), Russia (Volgograd, Penza, Kazan, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod) and Lithuania (Vilnius) shared their knowledge and best practices. All of them are representatives of the largest domestic, Russian, European and American corporations, leaders in their industry.
