KREMENCHUG REFINERY RECEIVED FIRST AZERI LIGHT BARRELS BY THE PIPELINE
On 10 March 2017 UkrTatNafta, the 150,000 b/d Kremenchug refinery operator received by the pipeline from Odessa first pieline delivery of the Azeri light blend (34.90 API, 0.14% sulfur) via the systme of Prydniprovkie pipelines, stated the company production and capital construction deputy chairman Sergey Koshelyuk. He added that the pipoeline crude deliveries are much cheaper compared to the rail shipments from Odessa. The refinery plans to build up refinery runs in 2017 to 60,000 b/d fro 44,000 b/d in 2016. Some 210,000t (1.55mn bbl) of the Azeri light blend was put into the system (including the technical volumes - OM) in order to start shipments of the Azeri light to the refinery. The company plans to accept into the system every month no less than one Afromax class vessel of crude (some 70,000t -80,000t)
