PKNM SUCCESSFULLY TESTED DOWNHOLE TELEMETRY SOFTWARE SYSTEM "GEOPLAST-35.4"
PKNM AND GEOPLAST TELECOM SUCCESSFULLY TESTED DOWNHOLE TELEMETRY SOFTWARE SYSTEM "GEOPLAST-35.4"
Perm Oil Machine Engineering Company (PKNM LLC) in partnership with Ufa based Geoplast Telecom in February 2017 had successfully tested downhole telemetry software system GEOPLAST-35.4. The systems was applied for well drilling at Fedorovskoye oil field in Western Siberia.
The project is part of import substitution progamme developing GEOPLAST-35.4 - Russia’s own downhole telemetry system with mud-pulse telemetry format. Starting from the autumn 2016 the bottomhole-inclinometer with built-in Gamma-ray logging module Geoplast-35.4 is successfully operated at the oil fields in Russia along with surface equipment of the telesystem.
Testing conducted at Fyodorovskoye field had proven reliability of the surface system and its steady performance throughout all drilling programme.
“Geoplast DWD software maintains stable receiving, filtration and decoding of the signal, has intuitive interface and ready set of all service functions satisfying all modern demands of service companies. In the nearest future working version will be launched into exploitation,” stated Geoplast Telecom Managing Director Yury Zhilyaev.
The company is successfully testing resistivity meter for the Geoplast 35.4 system and in March 2017 plans to test working model of the pulser for the Geoplast 35.4 telesystem.
Telemetry systems, produced in conjunction with the "Geoplast Telecom" is one of the priorities for our company - said "PKNM" General Director Vladimir Zharennikov. - We plan to set up production of premium drill pipe for directional drilling of oil and gas wells using telemetry systems. "
Full-scale testing of a full set of telesystem are scheduled for the summer 2017.
Created in 1993, the PKNM group of companies combines LLC PKNM-Ural, manufacturing equipment for drilling and oil production. PKNM Ltd is marketing subsidiary.
"PKNM-Singapay" and "PKNM-Poikovsky" are Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Yugra based subdivisions, while "PKNM Service" is and Krasnokamsk based they all are providing inspection and maintenance of drilling equipment for the oil companies.
A separate division PKNM-Sterlitamak, is Republic of Bashkortostan based, it is engaged in the inspection and maintenance of the downhole sucker-rod pumps.
LLC "Geoplast-PKNM" was added to the structure of the group of companies in February of 2016 in order to develop new generation telemetric systems. The company works in partnership with Russian vertically integrated giants Rosneft, EDC group, PJSC Lukoil.
