According to UPECO consulting company, in June 2010, oil refining capacity of Ukrainian plants will increase by 10 to 15% as compared to May. According to UPECO, in June 2010, the oil refining capacity will amount to about 4.38mn to 5.11mn b (600,000-700,000t) of oil and gas condensate. Ukrtatnafta's Kremenchug refinery will refine up to 2.19mn b (300,000t) of crude; LINIK (operated by TNK-BP Commerce) that will renew refining after the twentieth of June after a major overhaul will refine about 511.000b (70,000t) of oil; Lukoil Odessa refinery, due to the 3 to 5 days scheduled maintenance will decrease its monthly capacity by 15% refining 1.314mn to 1.387mn b (180,000-190,000t); Shebelinsk Gas Processing Plant (operated by Ukrgazdobycha) will process about 60,000t of oil and gas condensate mixture; on 2 June, Drogobych refinery resumed operation (operated by Galichina), it will refine about 365,000b (50,000t) of oil by the end of this month. According to UPECO's estimates, total production of petrols in June 2010 will comprise about 1.2mn to 1.241mn b (165,000-170,000t); À-95 petrol share will comprise about 40-45% from the total volume. According to the estimates, production of diesel fuels in June will total about 1.314mn to 1.35mn b (180,000-185,000t). The 20% steep downfall of the refining capacity in May 2010 as compared to the same period last year resulting in refining of 4.32mn b (593,000t) of oil is due to the maintenance shutdown of Lysychansk refinery. Looking back, LINIK was shut down for scheduled overhaul. According to TNK-BP Commerce, the repair time was about 50 days. According to the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine, in May 2010, Ukrainian refineries (including Shebelinsk Gas Processing Plant) produced 154,000t of petrols (44% as compared to May 2009) and 240,000t of diesel fuel (with 13% decrease in production). In June 2009, the refining capacity totaled 5.445mn b (746,000t) of crude, while production comprised 257,000t of petrols and 270,000t of diesel fuel. |
