Legal regulation of marine oil and gas fields development (shown on a sample frame legislation draft)
By the end of 2010, the Commonwelath of Independent State (CIS) inter-government council on oil and gas (IGCOG) developed draft sample frame law on marine oil and gas fields exploration and development. The new document provides clear definitions of the legal terms of those fields exploration and development. The draft law also provides legal ground for protection and rehabilitation of the biological resources in marine sectors as a single environmental complex. It implies the lateral states responsibility for its protection, reproduction and rational use.

In 2009-2010 Russia's RUMO (Nizhny Novgorod) supplied five automated gas engine compressors MKS-12/(75-85)-(85-180) for Socar underground gas storage in Azerbaijan.
|St. Petersburg Kompressor supplied new gas treatment units for the Nord Stream pipeline|
In February-December 2010, Russia's company Kompressor (St. Petersburg) supplied 5 fuel and impulse gas treatment units (GTU) for the Nord Stream compressor stations.
The units were installed at Babayevskaya, Gryazovetskaya, Yelizavetinskaya, Sheksninskaya and Portovaya compressor stations. Prior to the recent shipments Kompressor supplied more than 150 GTUs for the Nord Stream project.

In October 2010, Ukraine's Brotep-Eco (Brovary, Kyiv region) designed, produced and supplied new fan cooling tower 2BVG-42 MAXI (BVG-600 MAXI M1) for Rosneft's 130,000 b/d Achinsk refinery. The cooling tower can operate under extreme conditions Eastern Siberian Krasnoyarsk Territory with possible winter air temperature up to -60 °С.

Compared to other designs, the new high performance batterfly valve is absolutely both-way leakproof and has long service life due to operation without friction and sticking. The valve is unresponsive to abrupt temperature and pressure changes and can operate in hyperthermal and low-temperature environments.

|Teplopribor automated fire starting-up process of power boiler|
Currently, hydrostatic method (condensing vessel pressure fall gauging) is the most common way to measure water level in the shell of high-pressure power boiler. Several workers have to perform each operation of the given method during fire start-up, checking actual water level in the boiler shell against inspection chambers. The error of this level measuring method makes up 40% (as the relative density of water changes by heating), which may cause boiler unit and turbogenerator breakdown involving considerable repair expenditures.
