Vladyslav Lobov: Hello Dmitry, thank you for visiting us at newly formed enterprise. We began to think about this project, if I am not mistaken, in 2015. In 2016 I drew attention to the growth of Ukraine's LPG market, I remember the 30% per year indicator (in 2015 compared to 2014 it was 15%, but in 2016 compared to 2015 the market grew by 30% (+335,800 t) OM.) I realized that there was a niche, I started to pay attention to the infrastructure of those LPG facilities that exist in Ukraine, and it turned out that all those LPG storage complexes were from the 1950s-60s!

Gena Kobal, ExPro: The forum was traditionally held at Kiev InterContinental hotel and gathered a large number of participants. This applies to both Ukrainian and foreign companies, as well as officials who represented the government, the National Commission, the Ministry and many other institutions, including Verkhovna Rada. And I must say, it was a good dialogue! The dialogue between business and the government, the one that was not always easy, sometimes acute questions were asked, answers to which could not always be found! And therefore, there was an argument, the discussion was sometimes heated, but at the same time it was productive!

BIGs CopenHill waste-to-energy plant-cum-ski slope opens in CopenhagenBIGs CopenHill waste-to-energy plant-cum-ski slope opens in Copenhagen
The Amager Bakke waste to energy plant-cum-ski slope, newly renamed CopenHill, opened in December 2019. A municipal waste incinerator that operates at 1,000 degrees C is wrapped in a thermal blanket and topped with a ski slope in a country whose highest elevation is 171m. According to BIG founder Bjarke Ingels, this is precisely the point. Avid skiers and snowboarders will no longer have to make the six-hour trek to Sweden or fly to the Alps. Now they can ski in central Copenhagen.
